Take a hike!
Join Mr. Spielman on one of his infamous adventures. The plan is to leave Friday night so bring dinner or eat before you arrive at the IWLA. There will be a relatively easy hike on Saturday, hike out on Sunday, and stop for lunch before heading back to the IWLA early Sunday afternoon.
We will be departing from the IWLA around 6 PM on Friday Nov. 4. It will be dark. We will drive to the Paw-Paw crossing of the Potomac and park on the MD side. The plan is to camp right by the parking on the Paw Paw tunnel camp site. On Saturday we will hike downstream, through the tunnel, and then to the Devils Alley site. Then on Sunday morning we will hike back about 1/2 mile to where Orleans Rd is close to the trail and be picked up.
The pickup plan is to have all of the overnight adults leave their cars at the nice parking by the Paw Paw tunnel and then have one of the driving-only parents transport the remaining drivers back to their cars so they can then return to the end point and load up the boys on Sunday AM. Please indicate if you will be a "driver-only" parent.
