Come join the troop for a two-day one night easy (3 mile) backpacking trip in Catoctin Mountain Park, where we will be staying in a shelter.  Any scout in the troop will be able to complete this trip and all are encouraged to attend!

Beside backpacking, the major focus of the trip will be on completing requirement 6 of the merit badge "Trail and backpacking meals." Where scouts need to cook food they planned while on a trail hike or backpacking trip. Scouts who began the merit badge last year on the Cooking/Geology campout have already completed requirement 5. Camp cooking.

9:30am - Depart for Catoctin Mountain Park

Directions (to the visitor center): I-270 North to US-15 North to MD Route 77 West, go about 3 miles. The visitor center is on the right side of the road.
