Troop 1097 will be Sea Kayaking at Pamlico Sea Base in the Outer Banks of North Carolina as our High Adventure trip this summer. We will Kayak in the Pamlico Sound and camp on the ocean side in Cape Lookout National Seashore. Kayaks, tents, cooking equipment, food, and an experienced guide are provided by the Sea Base. A $100 deposit ($50 of the deposit is nonrefundable) is due from each participating scout and adult leader by February 1. The balance of $285 will be due on April 25.
Participants must be able to pass the Boy Scout swimmer test. High Adventure participants must be 13 years or older on January 1, 2013. Younger Scouts should attend summer Camp Liberty at Heritage Reservation instead.
